Wendy Snow - Manager
Hello, my name is Wendy. I live locally with my husband and have 2 grown up sons. Both my sons attended Timsbury and that where my interest started, by becoming a parent helper and committee member. Before I joined Timsbury Preschool as the Supervisor in June 2003, I was employed in the Commercial Insurance Industry, so it was a complete change in career direction, one that I have I never looked back on.
The reason I’m still here is simple, I love my job, everyday is different and I feel privileged to be a part of a family feel team that helps all children develop into confident, independent and sociable little humans. I am passionate about providing a safe, high quality fun education and care for pre-school children, so that they are always motivated to learn every single day of their lives, even beyond Preschool years and outside of the given curriculum.
Debbie Sykes - Assistant
My name is Debbie Sykes. I live in Braishfield, I have two grown up children, a dog and a cat.
I trained as an infant teacher in Canterbury and have taught in Primary and Special Needs schools.
My eldest daughter came to Timsbury Preschool in 2006 and my youngest joined in 2008, which is when I joined the preschool committee. I really enjoyed helping out at preschool and was delighted to be offered a job here when my children went off to school.
The reason I love working here is that we have an amazing family atmosphere and I am able to teach children about the things I love such as cooking and art.
Debbie Mimer
Hi I’m Debbie, I live in Romsey with my daughter, cat and dog. I have a BA Hons in Illustration and a Master’s Degree in Visual Communication. I love to draw and paint in my spare time and love that I can incorporate creativity with the children at Timsbury Pre-school.
I started at Timsbury Pre-school in 2019 and have loved every minute. I love working with the lovely children and staff here and couldn’t imagine a better place to be a part of.
Kerry Etheridge - Deputy Supervisor
Hi, My name is Kerry. I live locally with my husband and two children. I first came to Timsbury in 2006 after I gained my Level 3 diploma in childcare and education. Also, I am trained with Safeguarding Level 4.
I love working at Timsbury Pre-school as it is such a lovely friendly environment for children to grow and flourish in.
Most of my spare time is taken up with being a mum to young children, but when I do have time I love to read, walk and watch football.
Janine Hollands - Assistant
Hi, my name is Janine and I live in Romsey with my husband, 2 children, 3 dogs and 2 tortoises.
I have been in childcare for 18 years and love it. In that time I have gained an NVQ3 in childcare and education, Montessori foundation stage and Makaton level 1-2.
I also work 3 days a week for the local childrens charity ‘Romsey Opportunity Group’. We provide respite and support for families/carers with children with significant additional needs.
From the moment I set foot into Timsbury Pre-School I could see what a friendly, happy and fun environment it is for both the children and staff, I am glad to be made part of it.
It is great to work with children of different ages and different needs and being part of each ones unique learning journey.
